FOTsis Club holds its 3rd workshop

The third and last FOTsis Club workshop has held as two stages, i.e. first as an on-line webinar on the 13th of April 2015 which was subsequently complemented by a physical meeting during the context of the final FOTsis meeting.

The webinar was attended by 26 people in total and was dedicated to providing participants with a preliminary version of the final business models and obtain feedback that could be integrated in the final output.

This was presented on 28th April 2015 during the final FOTsis workshop which gathered approximately 80 participants from all around Europe. It was conceived as a peer review and information session, gathering all relevant stakeholders, by describing FOTsis main conclusions, achievements and suggestions towards the connected infrastructure, allowing the project consortium to better focus the project developments on stakeholder needs.

In particular, discussions were focused on the activities needed to facilitate a full joint deployment of C-ITS in Europe, mainly focused on the needed business models for a successful implementation of C-ITS within Europe.

Throughout the project, the FOTsis Club has at fostered privileged two-way relations with key representatives of Transport Ministries, national & regional road authorities, road network operators, logistics operators, ITS equipment manufacturers, road construction organisations, ITS & telecommunications suppliers, technology providers, vehicle manufacturers and, of course, the final end user.

The input obtained from the different workshops has provided valuable concerning the development of the communication’s architecture (1st workshop), the elaboration of the business models (2nd workshop) and operated as a sounding board for the successful implementation of the FOTsis concept after the end of the project (3rd workshop).
